SmartRail is the world’s leading track system used with full-size camera configurations in ceiling installations, specifically intended for live studio broadcasts. The range of columns makes it possible to raise cameras to new heights while retaining stability and smoothness of on-air control.
Ceiling mounted SmartRail systems allow the studio floor to be completely clear for a clean, uncluttered set design. Ceiling SmartRail is the perfect partner for SmartPed, keeping the floor clear and giving maximum space to move around the studio.
Descender columns come in a variety of sizes and may be customised to achieve the required range and min/max camera height.
Combined with Shotoku’s intuitive TR-XT control system and the TG-47 or TG-27 pan and tilt head, SmartRail provides totally integrated, highly accurate, motion control in all axes.
As the camera’s exact path across the studio is permanently and precisely defined by the rail, production designers can bring the cameras right into or over the set itself – achieving creative camera angles not possible with manual or traditional robotic cameras.
SmartRail Ceiling systems are compatible with the TG-47 pan and tilt head, ideal for box style cameras with lens, and teleprompter payloads up to 22kg (48lbs).
