AN-I (Absolute Navigation Interface)

AN-I removes the need for manual referencing using floor tiles and provides a constant positional reference to the system. AN-I can be specified when there is an optical tracking system installed in the VR studio where SmartPed is installed.  AN-I is used for SmartPed navigation only, and takes positional information (X,Y) from the data provided by the tracking system.  This can be any tracking system producing industry standard ‘Free-d’ VR protocol over IP (e.g. Stype ‘RedSpy’ or Mo-Sys ‘StarTracker’ among others).

AN-I is a software-only solution and can be retro-fitted to existing SmartPed systems that have appropriate optical tracking systems installed in the studio.
