Automation systems are able to control a wide variety of devices within a typical studio environment to create complex, precisely managed productions with minimal manual intervention. In doing so they reduce production costs and enable a wider range of programs to be produced in a single studio. Our xECI facility, within the TR-XT controller, opens up the remote camera system to the automation manager, enabling precise and repeatable control of all cameras according to the program automation schedule.
The physical interface is simple to implement and is flexible enough to support most automation requirements. Several world-leading automation and vision switcher system providers have implemented the Shotoku interface, and more are added as projects arise, so please contact us for more information on supported third party systems.
