AutoFrame
Product Description
AutoFrame is Shotoku’s intelligent face-tracking system, fully integrated into the TR-XT control platform. Designed for live production environments, it delivers smooth and natural on-air tracking of presenters and guests with minimal operator input.
By combining real-time face detection with motion profiling, AutoFrame ensures camera movements feel fluid and natural— avoiding the mechanical or abrupt responses often seen in basic tracking systems. It continuously adjusts for acceleration, deceleration, and delay response to maintain a lifelike, broadcast-ready result.
Setup is straightforward, requiring only a few operator selections before AutoFrame takes control. Once active, tracking and shot recall can happen as a single automated process by selecting tapping on a stored shot or allowing and automation system to recall a stored shot and commence tracking. If the operator intervenes manually, AutoFrame instantly disengages to allow full manual control when needed.
Up to five framing presets can be stored per camera, enabling convenient and rapid recall of preferred compositions. AutoFrame typically controls pan, tilt, and zoom, but also supports vertical adjustments via the height axis — useful for maintaining consistent eye-level framing with presenters of varying height. When used with a SmartPed robotic pedestal, the system can substitute X/Y base movement for pan, allowing tracking shots as the presenter moves sideways or to maintain fixed distance when moving forward.
AutoFrame is an optional feature of the TR-XT control system and is compatible with both new and existing TR-XT installations (subject to hardware review), offering an advanced upgrade path for broadcasters looking to expand automation without sacrificing production quality.
