The popular TU-03AVR head is small enough to be convenient to use in almost any size studio, while still being capable of supporting medium to large payloads such as studio-kit ENG cameras and lenses, including teleprompters. The built-in high precision encoders connect directly to our SPI to provide fast and accurate camera position data to the VR system.

The TU-03AVR head supports up to 30kg which is ideal for a wide range of camera and lens configurations from the smallest set-up to a full studio kit with teleprompter. The head has high resolution position encoders built-in which ensure highly accurate, drift-free sensing at all times. Once the centre point is passed on Pan and Tilt the head is fully referenced and will not need any further calibration until power off.
Our standard Serial Position Interface (SPI) fits directly to the side of the head, from where a single RS422 serial data link is provided back to the VR computer. As with all Shotoku VR systems the head is 100% compatible with all leading VR systems
The head is compatible with any Shotoku VR pedestal such as the TP-90VR or TP-80AVR for full 3D tracking and is also widely used with our compatible tripods and dollies for fixed position, 2D tracking applications.
