WGBH Selects Shotoku Remote Camera Systems

Shotoku Broadcast Systems has supplied a six-channel remotely controlled camera configuration to WGBH Boston - America’s preeminent public broadcaster and producer for PBS - as part of the station’s upgrade to a sophisticated robotic solution. The system was installed in WGBH’s studios located at One Guest Street, Boston, MA.

Following an evaluation process that included demonstrations before nearly 40 staff members, WGBH selected a Shotoku configuration for its ease of use, on-air performance and advanced core technology. The system comprises six Shotoku TG-19 heavy-duty pan and tilt heads and two full-featured TR-8T touch screen control panels.

Saskatchewan Legislature Installs Shotoku Robotics System

The Saskatchewan Legislature has installed a five-channel Shotoku robotic camera system.  The new system supports five miniature box cameras on our TG-27 robotic pan/tilt heads.

Four of the cameras are discretely located in each corner of the Assembly chamber, while the fifth provides a wide angle cover shot.  A microphone-based switching system automatically triggers camera selections and preprogrammed movements using our Orchestra Camera Management System (CMS).  The single operator controls all of the cameras via our TR-8S shot control panel, enabling smooth on-air movement at all times.
